Planning the Move

A commercial move estimate is only as useful as the information behind it. Before we can give you a number that reflects the real job, we need to understand:

Current and new address — including floor and building access
What's being moved: workstations, furniture, filing systems, specialty items
Access conditions: stairs, freight elevators, loading docks
Timing requirements: hard deadlines, lease end dates, preferred move window
Operational constraints: hours the business needs to stay open during the move
Items that require extra handling: safes, large printers, server equipment

You don't need to have every answer before reaching out — we'll work through the details together. The goal is a quote that reflects the actual job, not a low number that gets revised on moving day.

Protecting Your Assets

Office equipment isn't cheap, and the claims that come from handling it wrong are worse. Our commercial moving approach mirrors what we do on every job: items are padded and wrapped, large pieces are protected with heavy-duty moving blankets, and equipment requiring extra care gets it.

We use moving blankets and appropriate wrapping for office furniture, dollies and material-handling tools suited to the items being moved, and specialty handling for items that need it. If an item has specific requirements — servers, large monitors, fragile artwork in a reception area — tell us when you request the estimate so we can plan accordingly.

Moovin & Groovin is insured for the moving work we perform. If something is damaged due to crew error, we work with you to make it right.

Minimizing Disruption

Most businesses can't simply close for a moving day. We plan commercial moves around your operational reality. That might mean an evening start after your team leaves, a weekend move, or a phased approach that lets you keep running during the transition.

We can discuss after-hours scheduling, phased department-by-department moves, and coordination with building management at both locations. The estimate should account for access windows and any time constraints that affect how the job runs.

We don't promise zero downtime — that's not something any honest mover can guarantee. What we can do is plan the move carefully so that downtime is as short as possible and nothing is left unclear going into moving day.
